Graduate and Early Professional Clinical Training Program

The CBHC offers paid internship opportunities at our community partner sites. We aim to offer an intensive training experience that gives student trainees and post-graduate interns exposure to diverse client populations and needs, as well as live supervision from a qualified supervisor or supervisor-in-training. Supervisor Training and Mentorship Program

We are excited to be in partnership with BeHERE to offer CAS 782: Supervision in Community Settings. This course, offered through the University of Nevada, Reno and the Center for the Application of Substance Abuse Technologies (CASAT), is a graduate-level semester-long course that meets the didactic requirement to become an Approved Supervisor for the Nevada Board of Examiners for Marriage and Family Therapists and Clinical Professional Counselors. Supervisor candidates enrolled in CAS 782 will also have the opportunity for a supervision practicum, overseeing the work of our graduate and early career trainees at our community partner sites, as well as ongoing supervision of supervision meetings, which meets the practical requirements for becoming an Approved Supervisor. Becoming a behavioral healthcare provider can be a daunting process, and we are here to help. Contact us (link to page) to talk about your site’s goals and how the CBHC can offer guidance, support, and consultation through the process. Not ready to pursue provider status just yet? Talk with us about readiness assessments and consider becoming a partner site to get a feel for your population’s needs and interest.
